About Me
Hi! My name is Addie Thrower (she/her/hers) and I am originally from Carrollton, Texas. I began participating in theatre productions at my local children's theatre at age 6. Ever since then, I have constantly been involved in theatre, and I eventually decided to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa along with a double minor in business and marketing. I have always had a special place in my heart for Iowa because of frequent trips to visit my family on the farm where my mom grew up, and so I was excited to continue my theatre education somewhere close to family. Since coming to Drake, I have had the opportunity to grow both on and offstage, and have been challenged both with roles and technical responsibilities. More recently, I have grown as an artist by attending the National Theatre Institute, where I sparked my passion for composition, piano, music directing, and collaborative theatre work. When I am not working on a production, I am either hanging out with friends, playing with my cats and dogs, or listening to Taylor Swift. I also love to stay involved with the community, and so I frequently attend political and social events in Des Moines.
